Short for Get Everybody Moving, G.E.M. the unique name symbolizes her dream of inspiring people through her voice and her music.

Born to a musical family, G.E.M.’s grandfather is a professional saxophone player, her grandmother was a professional Chinese Opera singer/teacher while G.E.M.’s mother studies vocal performances in University in Shanghai.

Since the release of the acclaimed EP in 2008. G.E.M. has grown exponentially as songwriters, musicians and recording artists. In this new album “18…” she has participated substantially in the writing of the songs, lyrics and also recorded her piano playing for the song “18”, which she wrote to thank her family and people who’ve helped her in becoming who she is – G.E.M..
